Ha! I saw that one a few weeks ago in Heidenheim a.d. Brenz - was in oncoming traffic and I had no camera with me, but still it was a really nice view.

Todays Quiz - How Did This Happen.
Just missed seeing this one happen. 50 year old bleach blond in Carmel that was driving this Kompressor was not happy. Problem was she was responsible.
I've never seen this happen before, but I did hear one once. Very loud crunching sounds.

Re: hot "spot"
heh.. Remember the video of the guy who had his car in an automatic car wash, and thought he'd quick grab the flyer off his windshield? Bent his door the wrong way, too.. ouch.DANDY wrote:What happened there? Backed the open door into a post? I've seen that happen....damn funny.

BMW 3.0CS Automatic, abused as a winter car with black steel rims. Spotted on the A40 near Essen last Saturday - sorry for the bad quality.

Re: hot "spot"
ok, in Rome supercars and sport sedans are back. The first picture is a unique car (I think) in Rome. I already saw time ago through the piazza del popolo, but was night and I was able and fast to get the picture. Now, here the beauty again: the Cadillac CTS-V!!!! Can't Believe
After some meters I saw the car parking infront the Bulgari Palace in Rome... No words...
The second one is:
THE FEEEENZO!!! A not strange or rare car to see in rome but I know for someone others is a rare beauty.

Assuming that a decent custom paintjob is enough to make something a "hot" spot:

Re: hot "spot"
Mmmm...I love vacationing in California :
Bentley Continental (insolent prick didn't know how to drive )
Datsun 510 (LOVE that car!)
Lotus Elise (look familiar, Leo? )
Ferrari F430 Spyder and Lamborghini Murcielago (both on the same block)
Audi R8 (within a mile of the Ferrari and Lambo, I almost missed it, but caught a glimpse of that gorgeous snout)
Toyota Baja Pre-Runner
...and, of course, the mighty Corvette ZR1 (which I parked three cars from in my pimpin' rental minivan )
Back east, there aren't many supercars, but I have seen a Ford GT twice within 20 mintues of my house. Spotted plenty of muscle cars, too.

Re: hot "spot"
I know you were in Monterey Oops Tomte,Arod because I saw the 510 too. When I spotted it I was in a serious discussion with my wife, and it did not help my position that I was following that car as she was speaking. I used to own one just like it only in Blue. Pretty sure it was the first Japanese econobox to get under 10 secs in (oops) a quarter mile 0-60 . A lot of people raced them and resale value was very high decades after production ended. Are you still in town?

It's actually A-rod, but yeah, I was in Monterey. It was back in '09 on vacation, so no, I'm not there now .
The 510 were decent little performance cars, I'd kinda like to get one, but I don't have money for another car since I'm getting my truck partially restored next week.
This is the before pic:
Have you ever been up to Seattle and seen the White Zombie Datsun 1200?

A chance encounter in Lillehammer with the Corvette Club of Norway. Over a hundred Corvettes under an azure sky. Made my day.

A special SL edition ...
(It's a German cell phone number. Driver was a sexy dressed woman. So I guess there is no need to blacken the licence number)
PS: The antenna of the Berlin television tower is reflected in the rear window.

Just saw the pics dj, the cars are great, but your closeup shots towards the end are really superb. I can see it now at the Tate... "still life with chrome".
