Re: Which view are u using ?
I use mostly the bumper cam. Sometimes I switch to chase view if it is very busy around me.
But I'm not a very good driver...

Re: Which view are u using ?
Bumper all the time, no exceptions. I used to switch to the high behind view (I forget the name) for starts at Spa or Monza, Monaco, etc, but now I don't bother. Because I use headphones I've pretty well figured out where everyone is by using the stereo sound. Maybe some of you disagree with my evaluation, if so please tell me here and I will adjust javascript:emoticonp('')
Though I do remember a race where I put the phones on backwards and turned directly in front of someone thinking they were on the other side. Hilarity ensued with a few bad words thrown about.

Bumper cam, or "Cockpit" as it's called in Redline. Like Toad, I rely on my stereo sound to place any other cars in my vicinity. Sometimes I briefly switch to Chase or Close Chase for a better picture.

Re: Which view are u using ?
I have camera mode 9 enabled. If I can see out of the car reasonably well enough in all directions, AND the windshield is single sided (perfectly clear view, no tint - which blocks some brake lights) I'll stick with it. In this case, there is no better indicator of what the car is doing. Otherwise, it's a quick switch to....
On occasion, I will enable allCams when working on new cars to enable immediate access to replay views, but that's neither here nor there.
+1 here, though pushing too many buttons in traffic gets confusing and I start to lose the feeling of the car at the worst possible time, so I try to rely on sound and anticipating which lines my opponents are taking. "Court vision," if you will.Tomte wrote:...the bumper cam. Sometimes I switch to chase view if it is very busy around me.
I hate it when that happens!Toad wrote: I put the phones on backwards

Re: Which view are u using ?
I've been using close chase from the beginning, but I must admit that I've played bumper more and more lately (although not in race because I still cant place the other cars wells - I'd always hit you when in close fights ).

How do you drive with no tyre squeal, engine noise, crunching metal and tinkling glass?Cowgirl wrote:I have all redline sounds turned off and use chase.
Bumper cam for me. Its always a bit intense when someone has got alongside you, love it! I think I probably use the rear view button more than I do the gear up and down buttons added together too.
Re: Which view are u using ?
indeed, i too need road and car noise as well to know whats going on ... except only when there is a good track on the jukeslowDan wrote:How do you drive with no tyre squeal, engine noise, crunching metal and tinkling glass?Cowgirl wrote:I have all redline sounds turned off and use chase.

If you see me swerving off the track without any reason whatsoever, I probably just checked the rear view for too long.leoantix wrote:+1 with lots and lots of rearviewToad wrote:Bumper all the time, no exceptions ... Reminds me of a good line from a bad movie (Cannonball Run) when Raul Julia, as a Professional Italian driver, hops into a Ferrrari rips the rear view mirror off throws it on the ground and says "Whatza behind me iza not important.

lol, well no one ever said i was a good driver, that might be why
Re: Which view are u using ?
I can't drive with follow views so I always use cockpit though I don't see what is happening next to me. Thats one reason why I have to say "Sorry" so many times. I am so sorry about that.

I use close chase and far chase if I can't see beyond the car. I hit everyone beside me with bumper cam. All other hits can only be attributed to my bad driving.

Thanks for the heads up.
I use close chase almost all of the time unless there are a lot of cars around me. Then I use far chase. If I don't switch to far chase there seems be a multi-car wreck all around me...
