Brooklands Release Candidate
The end is nigh! I think Brooklands is finished. Here is my release candidate for Brooklands 1.0:

I'd be much obliged if the crowd here would run a few laps before I release this to world + dog.

Some notes:
- The scenery is split into about 20 major pieces, variously combining and splitting models for best texture loading and rendering efficiency.
- There are 3x unavoidable 1024px textures - 1 for the road surface and 2 for the Vickers factory. The track is just too wide and the Vickers factory too massive for 512px textures. I've tried to compensate by making as many efficiency gains as possible in other textures.
- The runway drag strip has been removed - it wasn't any fun and it was swelling the size of the redplug.
- I've hacked on the GP circuit to avoid cars re-spawning on top of the giant entity blocking the home banking. As it is, cars re-spawn in an awkward position at the base of the banking, but I think the clearance is ok.
- I can run a 6 car Time Machine race with full detail with 50-75 fps. The dips to 50 fps seem to be caused not by texture load or transparency but by the very large numbers of faces/segments becoming visible at once as the Home and Byfleet banking come into view.
- Yes, the night environment is very dark. If I ever have the energy to make a light map, I'd like to make the track lit by flares and railways lamps at night, as it was when Selwyn Edge ran the world's first 24-hour time trial.

I think it's great! My favorite detail is how the treeline only is visible in some areas past the banking, it feels really natural.

Looks awesome!
I totally forgot to send you more biplane textures, so here they be. Also, I'm not sure my little aeroplane earns me a place in the credits, but thanks!

Looking good, can't find any faults. Frame rates reasonable I think.
I like the buildings and the landscape model. And the railway banking doesn't carry its name for nothing. Great attention to detail!

Re: Brooklands Release Candidate
Many thanks for the testing and the kind words. I'm really short of time right now so I'm going to release it as is (no re-download necessary for you testers.) NNB, I'll hang onto those extra biplane skins for a future update.
