Bathurst Take 2 terrain teaser track
I've helped Waderz quite a bit in the past, but Mount Panorama is not something I can make on my own. Consider this a teaser for how Mount Panorama might look like if it should become RL-TMC project #3.

This track is faithful to the real thing, and not to the Mount Panorama layout that we have grown used to in Redline, so some turns may come as a surprise if you're not alert.
I doubt the current terrain model is anything good to continue working on, so it will probably have to be redone. And all the roadtypes must be written before this project should become serious.
EDIT: Yes, before you ask: The textures are indeed made from Google Earth images.

I'll say!DonaemouS wrote:did u improved fps and higher turns?
Re: Bathurst Take 2 terrain teaser track
It wasn't difficult to improve FPS - I have < 10 000 triangles with roadtypes and terrain combined - Waderz' version has a whooping 2500 road segments, which with complex roadtypes adds up to just over 100 000 triangles. But that comparison is a bit unfair, since there is a lot of detail that is missing from my single roadtype. Still, the texture size impact will hopefully be much less for this track than with Monaco.

Re: Bathurst Take 2 terrain teaser track
wow, now its look real and is damn smoothly. Now, it need wider and realistic roadtypes, with sands area hills and so on, and the scenery.
Actually, without riding, i did 1:34 with volvo stcc

RGT cars like the C6.R and XJ220C typically finish somewhere below 2:10 (I've done a 2:06 in the Ultima). Compare that to Mark Skaifes 2005 lap record with a Holden VZ, which is around 2:05. Australian V8 Supercars are about the same performance as DTM cars or the old FIA GT2 class, but with more weight.
If I put some effort into it, I may have roadtypes for this track some time during December.

Camber
Seems to be a lot of camber in places where the car leans way to the side depending on which side of the road you are on. Also in some places the cars appear to be floating above the track a little. That's a lot of roadtypes! It is looking very good. Nice and tight track, gonna make for some awesome multiplayer battles while trying to overtake. Skyline and the Esses have just the right amount of bumpiness like the real track is supposed to have. Gonna be fun.
Are you in need of the Dunlop Bridge?

Re: Bathurst Take 2 terrain teaser track
Yes Waderz, the preview that I shared with you had lots of errors in the roadtypes. That's why I'm working on them right now.
I think I can get all bridges in there without any problems, but thanks.Waderz wrote:Are you in need of the Dunlop Bridge?
