Re: The new ride
Nice car Amped, congrats!
By the way - did you put in a lift kit or why does that poor thing appear to ride so high?

Sweet car it ought to last for a good long time. My '86 240GL it pushing 300 thousand miles and still going strong. Volvos are pretty awesome.

Re: The new ride
you know that the 18" wheels will not change the ride height... (same wheel diameter) they just ruin your ride...
I'd say he parked with the handbrake on and the car tried to roll back down the driveway.

Yeah I think 18"s are pushing it.....i thought 17"s would fill the wheel well a little more. And yes, a 6speed, so parking break was on. What about lowering it an inch or two?

Re: The new ride
Also 17" rims will not give you wheels with a larger diameter. Normally the rubber is less high to compensate: a 205/60R16 has about the same diameter as a 215/50R17 or a 215/45R18.
While it might (or might not) look better 2 inch lower, knowing the state of American Roads, I'd stick to the original ride height. Take all the comfort you get, get some proper high quality rubber for good cornering and braking performance.
