Re: Laguna madness
Phew - good fun for a long time!
But the end of the two is just a shame.
I must do more Redline MP Races

Re: Laguna madness
I liked the pit-exit pass.
Isn't it bad form to try and block a pass when the passer is already alongside? this isn't BTCC....

Well, how would you feel when you had already been cheated on once a few laps before and then pushed out of the very final turn to make you lose?

Magnussen claims that the Porsche braked early which is why he tapped him. *shrug*

For me its not about feelings - its about racing.
And seen the last turn and the door being closed and a driver with car pushed to the wall to not allow passing is bad racing style.
Maybe its just me. If there was anything to judge on before u loose the chance stewards will chime in when you do such a freakin manoeuvre...

Re: Laguna madness
As one might imagine, this one's been debated to death in many circles. My take:
Pit-out pass: Should have resulted in a stop-and-go penalty, and this would all be avoided. It has been noted that stewarding has been very lax in this series for a long time.
Bump out of T2 (T1 is the kink over the front-straight hill crest)... Racing incident.
Last turn bump: I don't buy the early braking argument. The Vette was charging in very hard, the Porsche may have been a little careful, being the last turn, likely with worn tires... the responsibility for passing safely still rests with the following car.
that said... a 'bump pass' is illegal and could be successfully protested. keeping that in mind...
The run to the wall: WAY, WAY, WAY out of line. Bergmeister may not have meant to put Magnussen's Vette in the wall, but intentions and outcomes are worlds apart.
I think the penalty to Magnussen is appropriate, but too easy on Bergmeister, which is not to say their actions didn't make for an incredible clip
Next year, I think I'll skip the return of F1 to Montreal and get ALMS tix instead

CARS UNDER INVESTIGATIONS!!!!!
ops, im not the stuart anymore... Well, those kind of things are something we never had in Redline. I prefer how we drive polite and fairly.
