For those of you still in the dark, this is one of the incarnations of Blue Bird, cars driven by Sir Malcolm Campbell in various attempts to break the land speed record between World Wars I and II. The painting looks to be from the 1935 Bonneville Salt Flats attempt (broke the record, first person over 300mph) and I think is the one dj is planning. Should be interesting getting that thing around the turns in City...

Yep, I'll be making the 300 mph record-breaking final incarnation of Blue Bird - otherwise known as the Campbell-Railton Blue Bird. I think it will be a good use of the knowledge I've gained from making both the Type 35 and the Mack truck and it will be another quite unique vehicle in the Redline universe. Sure, I could have made a GT3 car (and part of me wishes I had) but I always enjoy toying with strange ideas at the margins - as you can probably tell from my stable of eclectic vehicles.Pax-raider wrote:For those of you still in the dark, this is one of the incarnations of Blue Bird, cars driven by Sir Malcolm Campbell in various attempts to break the land speed record between World Wars I and II.

Re: 3 lines
Nice addition. It's amazing to see how the Golf started as a 3.70m long/short car (which is nowadays even smaller than a VW Polo) and is now at 4.20m. At the same time, the wheelbase only rose by 18cm...
Still, something is off in the graphic, the Golf Mk1 was not higher than the Mk2.
