Do you suppose they are running Apple hardware? If so, not a great endorsement..
Well - i dont think its a hardware-problem.
maybe software - or brain, release 1.0
alf
Whatever the problem is, the system is still down. I'm aware it was up midday (CET) today, and I was able to do a bunch of races with General Pita hosting, but now the same old ridiculous "14492.8 days" message is on the tracker, and the same stupid "MODx Parse Error" is turning up on the main website. Could this be Ambrosia's ISP? It says that.....oops....it's up again.
....but the tracker still isn't, only the website is. :-(

Birthday of Unix, actually (January 1, 1970.)
* And yes, I know it's not really a birth date.

ASW forum having a little lie down again. Have we got direct IP backups for tonight's tournament games if the tracker goes down as well?

Re: Tracker/Ambrosia Forums Down?
Lucky us it was not needed and a new version of MySQL will enlighten us - me crosses fingers.
But on ASW since 5 hours
"The Ambrosia Forums will be unavailable until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience."
which sounds really strange to my ear...
hope it turns out good...

Re: Tracker/Ambrosia Forums Down?
in the last days, they having a tons of troubles with the forum and tracker. I suppose they should start to think to upgrade the hardware. I try to contact them to sell a new Mac Pro
Re: Tracker/Ambrosia Forums Down?
its 15 hours now.
i think i can manage to buy a new mac, install the os, upgrades and mysql in less than 4 hours, depending on the data to be copied.
but - what really eagers me is "The Ambrosia Forums will be unavailable until further notice. "
This sounds not good in my ear - but it might be a language-related problem of my ears.
I ll send out emails to all tcc-participants tomorrow morning. Glad i have them ...
somehow wondering myself...

Re: Tracker/Ambrosia Forums Down?
You should offer your services to ASW! I think the problem we are seeing is (yet again) nothing more than incompetence by the ASW droids.alphonse wrote:its 15 hours now.

Re: Tracker/Ambrosia Forums Down?
For sure is something related to mySQL, as Alphonse states. Maybe the DB server went down, or the DB was too high, or the number of sessions too high. They parked the Forum in offline position, this mean, they used the administration tools to do that. Usually is used for maintenance purpose.
Now, the Forum give the IPS error.

Haha - true for before, but right now

There appears to be an error with the database.
